Welland Park Academy is an approved examination centre to run GCSE examinations for Awarding Bodies that fall under the JCQ.
All exam entry fees for candidates on roll are paid for by Welland Park Academy. Candidates who fail to turn up for an exam, without an acceptable reason, will be invoiced for the full cost of the award involved. Conflicting personal arrangements or forgetting to turn up for an exam, for example, are not acceptable reasons. Absence due to illness must be supported by a letter from a doctor/medical professional deeming them unfit to sit their exam.

This section of our website will give you vital, up to date, information on examination rules and regulations, as well as examination timetables, general information, policies, letters, parent/student examination guides, results day dates and much more, so please visit this page regularly clicking on the links below, especially leading up to and during the examination season, mocks included.
We also have an Exams Notice Board within School which will display important information including, timetables, exam dates, equipment list, etc during mock and GCSE examination periods. This can be found on the outside wall opposite the Exams Office next to the front metal gates and can be referred to by students at any time.
Y11 26-27 Mock & Public Exam Overview
- Y11 mocks (1) - 9th November 2026 - 20th November 2026
- Y11 mocks (2) - 22nd February 2027 - 5th March 2027
- GCSEs - 10th May 2027 - 18th June 2027 - JCQ contingency day 23rd June 2027. All students must remain available until this date in case of national or significant local disruption to examinations.
